The definition of YOLO to me means to take risks because this is the only opportunity you have to accomplish anything. YOLO stands for You Only Live Once which I portray as not being hesitant to follow your dreams, to trying your best at everything you do. This is the only life you have to pursue everything you want and can accomplish. I apply this to my daily life because I only have one life and i’m going to make the most of it. YOLO to me means to not throw away this one chance you have in life.
The phrase ‘yolo’ to me means taking risks and going outside of your comfort zone. There are many risk takers that go above and beyond to prove themselves, such as jumping building to building or participating in illegal activities such as mischief and misdemeanor. I believe those are ‘yolo’ instances but they aren’t the ones that I live up to. A common factor is going outside of your comfort zone. It’s not very easy in today’s society because many are either scared to do so or are scared of people’s opinions. ‘Yolo’ to me means exceeding in every way possible, whether it is in school meeting new people, trying exotic foods for the first time, or even traveling the world.
#YOLO an emblem that is viewed and has moved millions of people, what this small phrase means to me is to make out the most out of life. As stated in the acronym you have one life; therefore, it shouldn’t be wasted on regrets. It is about taking chances and perusing the things you wouldn’t think of doing. Sometimes being selfish and do what makes you happy despite its leading to some repercussions. It’s your future and your life. #YOLO an international movement of doing, so no matter what life throws at you, take risk. To be out of your shell is what #YOLO means to me.

For instance I had chance to be apart of Jersey Girl State, earning a theater scholarship, Becoming a counselor, helping teach different classes at my dance school, and etc. Chances are everything in life and Without taking an outlook on life you could be cheating your self out.

Although this phrase may not seem like much, it is an extremely strong cushion for our conscience to fall back. In conclusion, yes although "you only live once", we should use that line to motivate ourselves to do the right thing. Not saying that its always used from a negative perspective, it's just not used as positively.
In my own personal opinion, I feel as though the term #YOLO can vary. The acronym YOLO stands for you only live once. While being in college, students can feel this "emotion" quite frequently. For me, YOLO means that you should live your life to the fullest and accomplish everything you want since you only have one shot at living. On the other hand, I could also feel this way when it comes to getting work done unfortunately.If something had come up that I felt was more important or rather more interesting to me, I may be inclined to push off school work until what I want to do is done. I mean, You Only Live Once, right? During my lifetime, I definitely see myself as being or becoming a risk taker and open to adventures and new discoveries coming my way. Every chance I get to experience something new I'll take it and worry about the disadvantages after the fact. At first, the concept of YOLO was annoying and overused but now that I am in new a chapter of my life, it has more of an impact than before. College should be the best four years of a persons' life and while I'm on my academic journey, I want to make my time worth it and enjoyable simultaneously.
